About Pricing Methods
OnForce has three pricing methods. Two use a pre-priced model - Flat Fee and Hourly Rate. The third method allows the buyer to send the work order out to selected pros requesting a quote.
Three pricing structures:
- Flat Fee - Buyers send the work order to up to 20 pros (after 35-minutes of the initial routing, buyers can add additional pros not to exceed 40). The service pro is paid the amount specified in the successful completion of this work order.
- Hourly Rate - Buyers send the work order to up to 20 pros (after 35-minutes of the initial routing, buyers can add additional pros not to exceed 40). The service pro is paid at an hourly rate specified in the Hourly Rate field, up to a maximum of the amount entered in the Spend Limit field, upon successful completion of this work order.
- Request Quotes - Buyers send the work order to up to 10 pros (after 35-minutes of the initial routing, buyers can add additional pros not to exceed 20). The pro will provide quotes in the form of offers. Buyers accept the best offer after reviewing the quotes. The service pro is paid the amount and/or rate stated in the accepted offer upon the successful completion of a work order. The Request Quote tool is enabled for buyers who have at least 10 paid work orders.
Pre-Priced Work Orders
Pre-priced work orders are set as flat fee or hourly rate work orders and always include a spend limit that defines the maximum amount that a buyer is willing to spend to accomplish the requirements defined in a work order. Pre-priced work orders can be initially sent to as many as 20 service pros. Buyers are charged the OnForce fee and the work order funds are reserved upon the routing of the work order. Pros may accept the work order as is or place an offer to increase the spend limit or change the service date and time. When a pro accepts a work order or the buyer accepts an offer from a pro, the work order then moves into the Accepted folder of the Active Work Orders page.
Request QuotesThe Request Quote method relies on offers from the pros who were routed the work order. The buyer can review multiple offers on a single page comparing them side by side. The OnForce fee is applied and the work order funds are reserved when a buyer accepts an offer. Upon accepting an offer, the buyer enters end-customer and buyer contact information and submits the work orders back to the pro. At this time, buyers are charged the OnForce fee and the work order funds are reserved. The work order then moves into the Accepted folder of the Active Work Orders page.
OffersOffers can be placed by the service pro for pre-priced or request quote work orders. The offer's default expiration is 2 hours, but a pro may set the offer to expire at 2, 4, 8, 12, or 24 hours from the moment the offer is placed. A buyer rejecting an offer can then allow the pro to place an additional offer. Rejecting a pro's offer three times locks the pro from placing any further offers.
Increasing PriceService pros can request a price increase by submitting a counter-offer after reviewing a work order for the overall increase of the spend limit, the hourly rate (if applicable), or both (when requesting an hourly rate increase, it is often necessary to request a spend limit increase). If accepted, the offer pricing becomes the agreed-upon rate for the work order. The pricing structure cannot be changed after the work order has been Sent.
During the course of executing a work order, the buyer may increase the spend limit of a work order if the requirements of the work order change. Once the work order spend limit is increased it cannot be decreased or returned to its previous value. Service pros should not deliver additional service without approval by the buyer.
