My OnForce | Return to OnForce

Scanning a Document

Once a work order is accepted by a service pro, the managed document can be downloaded just like any other work order attachment. A unique barcode in the footer of the signature page links the managed document with the work order when it is submitted back in to OnForce.

Service pros can fax the document to OnForce or scan the completed document and upload the TIFF file or the work order to email the TIFF file to documents@onforce.com.

Scans should be performed producing a multi-page TIFF file (a standard format generated by Multifunction Copier/Fax/Printers) in monochrome - bit depth 1, at 300 dpi minimum resolution. Ensuring these settings is critical to producing a successful submission of the document to OnForce. To verify the DPI, please see verifying DPI.

To protect and maintain a pristine barcode:

  • Make sure the barcode on the printed document is clear, crisp and free from any text overlay.
  • Only scan the original print out.
  • Do not make a copy and attempt to scan
  • Do not reduce or stretch the TIFF image. View the image prior to submitting the document.
