Faxing a Document

Once a work order is accepted by a service pro, the managed document can be downloaded just like any other work order attachment. A unique barcode in the footer of the signature page links the managed document with the work order when it is submitted back in to OnForce.

Service pros can scan the document and upload or email the TIFF file or fax the document to the fax number located to the left of the barcode.

When faxing, set the fax machine to high resolution/fine mode and turn off fax headers for best readability as the header/footer can interfere with the barcode. When using an online fax service, scan your document as black/white only.

To protect and maintain a pristine barcode:

  • Ensure the barcode on the printed document is clear, crisp and free from any text overlay.
  • Only fax the original print out. Do not make a copy and attempt to fax.
